Please refer to this previous release note.
Option to Assign an Alternate Property Administrator
- Enabled by Default? - No
- Set up by customer Admin? - Yes
- Enable via Support ticket? - No
- Affects configuration or data? - No
- Roles Affected: - Users who currently have access to the Property Administration settings
What's Changing?
In the previous release (4.6.133) we introduced a restriction whereby only one designated user per property could change important configuration settings. We have now added the ability for the designated property administrator to appoint an alternate property administrator that will share the same access to the property administration settings.
Reason for the Change
To ensure that customers can update their configuration settings should the primary property administrator not be available.
Customers Affected
All Adaco customers.
Release Note Info/Steps
Using this new setting, the designated Property Administrator can assign another user who will share the same full access rights to update property administration settings as they do.
- Go to Property > Administration > Property Preferences > Customization
- Use the new drop-down called Alternate Property Administrator and select the user as required - any user within the property can be assigned as the alternate property administrator
- Save the changes
This control will be visible to all users who have access to the Property Administration pages, (full or read-only), but will only be editable by the existing assigned property administrator.
Please note: The appointed alternate property administrator cannot change this setting themselves, i.e. they cannot assign their access rights to another user. Only the primary property administrator can assign or change the alternate property administrator.
