Overview
The Weather feature in HotSchedules allows managers to review current and historical weather information while generating sales forecasts. This helps managers identify weather conditions that may have affected past sales and anticipate changes in future business activity.
When available, HotSchedules may also recommend forecast adjustments based on how similar weather conditions affected historical sales.
View Weather Information
Navigate to Forecasting.
Select the week you want to forecast.
Select the historical weeks you want to use and apply your selections.
Once the forecast is generated, locate the Weather section in the left panel, below Weeks Used in Forecast.
Select a day to review the corresponding weather information.
The Weather section displays the forecasted conditions for the selected day and historical weather information for the weeks included in the forecast.
Weather Data Availability
Weather information is provided through AccuWeather and is available for up to 15 days in the future.
When weather information is unavailable for a selected day, the Weather section displays Insufficient Weather Data.

Apply a Suggested Weather Adjustment
When HotSchedules identifies a historical relationship between weather conditions and sales, the Weather section may display a suggested percentage adjustment.
These recommendations can increase or decrease projected sales based on the anticipated impact of the weather.
To apply a suggested adjustment:
Open the applicable forecast.
Locate the Weather section.
Review the suggested percentage adjustment.
Select Apply [percentage]% Adjustment to apply the recommendation.
The forecasted sales projections update automatically using the suggested percentage.
Note: Suggested weather adjustments are optional and cannot be edited. Once selected, the adjustment is applied automatically without requiring an additional save.
