When 'unavailability' has been scheduled for 'all day' the manager can still put a shift in so it shows as both a shift and unavailability.
Can the Manager remove the unavailability to avoid confusion or can only the employee remove the unavailability? Or is it possible to not allow a shift to be schedule if there is pre approved unavailability on that day?
Unavailability showing on rota with a shift - can it be removed by Manager?

Hello Lauren,
Thanks for your message, and my apologies for the delay getting back to you here.
The system should prevent managers from putting in shifts when the day is set unavailable. If you encounter this happening, please put in a ticket with us in support.
Regarding the unavailabilities, managers have the ability to approve or deny unavailability requests. Once the request is approved, then it is set in the schedule and can then only be removed by the employee.

I hope that explains how these work. Let me know if any further info is required.
Hi @...,
I’m following up on Lauren’s request, as we initially raised this issue with her.
Please note that while all managers are involved in creating the rota, only the General Manager receives the unavailability requests and can approve them through the app. Assistant managers can only see these requests on the schedule after they’re approved, which means they can’t adjust shifts beforehand to make the schedule more effective.
We’re glad the system allows us to schedule shifts even when a day is marked as unavailable. Currently, employees understand that approved unavailability requests aren’t final until the rota is completed.
However, this means that once the rota is finalized, both the shift and the unavailability appear on the same day in the schedule, which looks unprofessional. We understand that only the employee can delete their unavailability request, but often they forget or don’t do it, even when they’ve agreed with the manager to come to work.
We would like to request either:
-an option for managers to delete unavailability requests after they’ve been approved,
or
-the possibility to show all unavailability requests in a list on the Fourth website (not just the app) before approval. This way, assistant managers can see the requests while creating the rota and approve or decline them as needed.
Please let us know if either of these options could be considered.
Thank you.
