We have a certain allowance in payroll as a separate pay type. Is there a report which would tell me how much of that allowance was paid to individual employees in the last tax year, please

Thank you for your question.

 

If the allowance is paid in payroll via a payment type on the payslip then you should be able to create a Custom Report in the Payroll Module to get the required information.

 

Go to Payroll Module> Reports> Custom Reports and select 'Create Template'.

Name your report and select Report Type: 'Payslip Data for Current Tax Year'.

Select fields such as 'Employee Name, Employee Number, Company, Pay Basis, Payment Value, Pay Period, Payment Rate, Payment Units and most importantly select 'Payment Description' and set the 'condition' to LIKE.

When you run the report enter the payment type (as it is on the payslip) in the text box of the following screen.

 

This custom report will then provide you with a list of payment made using that particular payment type in the current tax year.
