NI Numbers

Hi,   Is there a way to enable a different NI number format in the HR module or is there any development being completed to allow a different format?   This question is being asked because HMRC have recently provided NI numbers in the form of 8 digits with two numbers, one letter and five numbers.   Thanks,   Aine   @Eduardo Vilches​

Please can you forward a copy of the HMRC NI instruction to @Aine Roach-Jones​  so that we can take a look? There is no reference of any changes to the format of National Insurance Numbers on the HMRC website at the moment. We would like to take a look at this in more detail.

I have spoken to our payroll bureau and there are currently no HMRC updates to the NI number format, the example that you have sent appears to be a temporary NI number which would not be entered into the employee's HR detail. Once the employee has received their permanent NI number, their details can be updated.
