We would like to understand more about how suspension works HR - can you advise any documents which can help. Some specific questions below

Specific queries: How can you report on how many live or past suspensions we have?  Are the states of suspension editable so could we remove Suspension without pay? If someone is placed on suspension how does it appear on the rota? How do you ensure the employee is paid their correct pay? If a suspension is added in does it affect the holiday calculation?

The Suspension Functionality within the HR module will not have an impact on payroll, it is to be used as a recording tool only. Payments/ deductions would need to be manually added to the payroll. You can report on suspension history using the HR Custom Reports.

 

Alternatively, some customers record suspension via the absence functionality. You can create an 'Absence Type' called 'Suspension' and set it to deduct days from employees, or indeed pay in full (or both). This information can be reported on using the Absence Analysis report in the HR Module.
