Good afternoon Geoffrey Sagrans,

Thank you for your query.

We recommend using:

  • Fourth Analytics Adaco: Variance Analysis - filter at the top by Outlet(s) then use the various reports, pop-out tables, &/or drill-down views to determine which works best for you, e.g. Outlet Variance Report by Outlet - Value then drill into the Outlet Name to see the breakdown by Category

or

You can then either drill-down further within Fourth Analytics or run the same core-Adaco report using Report Type: Product to see individual Products.

Please let us know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

Thank you David.  I did try to run the Usage Analysis by Outlet (in this case, the Storeroom).  The report did not show any Beginning Inventory or Ending Inventory.  The report only showed positive or negative charges.  Also, the column titles are a little misleading because they show "PTD Sales" and "YTD Sales".   The titles should ready "PTD Issues" and "YTD Issues".   I am assuming that if the totals at the bottom are a positive number - i.e. Beverage  $50,000 - that would mean $50K more was brought into the warehouse than was issued out of the warehouse?  If the number showed - i.e. Beverage ($50,000) then the opposite would be true?

Hi Geoffrey Sagrans,

The Usage Analysis by Outlet Report does not include PTD/YTD Sales so I believe you may have run the Adaco: Summary Usage Analysis Report instead.

The article Adaco: Usage Analysis By Outlet Report outlines the selection criteria for that report:

  • Report Type: Category Totals
  • Include Inventory: If checked will include the inventory values in the calculation.

& the Report Results > Fields & Descriptions:

  • Charges: Product movement into or out of the Outlet.

Please let us know if that helps direct you appropriately.

Best
