Can I release a shift for a specific employee?

Unfortunately there is not a way to release a shift for a specific employee to pick up. All released shifts are available to all employees that are on the same schedule. 

If wanting to release a shift to a specific individual, I suggest selecting the reason for the release as Other. This will then give you a text window that you can specify that the shift is for a particular employee.
