What’s New?
- Pension Stop Dates Cleared on Termination Removal - When a Termination Date is removed and saved, the Stop Date and Stop Reason are now cleared on all pension schemes stopped with “Employee has Left Employment” and a matching Stop Date. Schemes with a different Stop Date or another stop reason (such as Opted Out) are unchanged.
Absence & Pay Report: New Columns, Filters and Open-Ended Absences - The Absence & Pay Report has been enhanced with additional data and more flexible filtering. Open-ended Absences in Days (those with no End Date) are now included in both views. In the Summary view they appear as a single row with Absence To left blank. In the Detailed view they return records only within the selected Date From and Date To range, as there is no end point for the report to run to; absences with an End Date continue to return in full. New columns have been added for Attracts SSP?, Attracts CSP?, Offsets for Salaried Employees?, Annual Salary, Is Evidence Required?, and current CSP Days Allowed, Taken and Remaining, along with SSP1, SSP1 Reason, SSP1 Sent and SSP1 Date in the Summary view. Annual Salary is blank where the user lacks permission to view it, and CSP balances reflect the position at the time the export is run. Company is now optional, so the report can be run across all companies, and a new Pay Basis filter is available when one or more companies are selected.
CSP/SSP Elements Restricted to Annual Salary Permission - CSP and SSP pay details are now only visible to users with the Annual Salary permission. In the Absence Breakdown grid, users without the permission no longer see the CSP Pay and SSP Pay columns, and cannot access these values through exports, the column chooser, sorting, filtering or tooltips. When creating an absence, the “Weekly Rate for CSP” and “Weekly Rate for SSP” labels and values are likewise hidden for these users. Behaviour for users with the permission is unchanged.

Pension Stop Dates Cleared on Termination Removal
Previously, removing an employee’s Termination Date left any related pension scheme Stop Dates in place, meaning users had to manually reopen each affected scheme. This update keeps pension records in step with employment status automatically.
When the Termination Date is removed and the page is saved, the system checks each of the employee’s pension schemes. Any scheme with a Stop Reason of “Employee has Left Employment” and a Stop Date matching the removed Termination Date will have both its Stop Date and Stop Reason cleared, returning the scheme to an active state. Where an employee is enrolled in more than one scheme, every scheme meeting these conditions is updated.
To protect records that were stopped deliberately or independently of the termination, some schemes are left untouched. A scheme stopped with “Employee has Left Employment” but with a Stop Date that differs from the removed Termination Date is not changed, as this indicates the date was set separately. Schemes stopped for any other reason, such as Opted Out, are also unchanged.
Existing behaviour when adding a Termination Date is unchanged: a matching Stop Date with the reason “Employee has Left Employment” is still applied to all active schemes.
