What’s New?

• Absence in Hours (Part Day) - Absence (sickness) can now be recorded at individual day and hour level, giving greater flexibility and accuracy for partial day absences, variable working patterns, and complex sickness scenarios. Absences in Hours can be created and managed via the UI, the UK HR API, or Data Imports (including a dedicated Absence in Hours Update Import for bulk updates), and integrate fully with SSP, CSP, Rota, and Scheduling.

   

• Company Sick Pay (CSP) Enhancements - A series of improvements to CSP configuration and management:
  • Entitlement in Weeks — CSP entitlement can now be configured in weeks as well as fixed days. The system converts this to a days figure automatically, based on FTE (or 52-week average for flexible employees).
  • Entitlement Calculation Breakdown — A new pop-up on the employee's Absences screen shows the full entitlement calculation, including employment and contract details, plus warnings where a change could create a negative CSP balance.

  • Entitlement Employee Override — CSP entitlement can now be overridden at employee level, bypassing contract configuration. Overrides apply to a defined CSP year, can persist into future years, and are fully logged for audit.

     

• Override FTE for Flexible Employees
  Override FTE is now available for Flexible employees, not just Full Time and Part Time, letting an FTE value be assigned for downstream calculations including Absence — particularly relevant given CSP Entitlement in Weeks above. Can be set via the UI, data import, or the UK HR API.

Override FTE for Flexible Employees

Navigate to:

• HR Module > Employees > Employee List > Find & Select Employee > Employee Info > Employment Details
• Payroll Module > Employees > Employee List > Find & Select Employee > Employee HR Info > Employment Details

Within Employment Details, the Override FTE functionality will be available for those with Employment Status set as Flexible:

The Override FTE field can be updated via: 

• The User Interface, as above
• Data Imports
• The UK HR API
