Additional Announcements
Before we get into what we are developing and what is approaching release, here are some additional announcements that will impact UK HR & Payroll customers:
This item was first mentioned in What We're Working On | WFM UK | 2 Jul 2026 and is repeated here for consistent messaging. Please refer back to that article for full details.
Employment Conflict Resolution
As a reminder, the Employment Conflict Resolution feature will be enabled for all customers from 1 October 2026. It can be enabled early on request, and we encourage this so you have time to prepare ahead of the deadline.
Upcoming Releases
The following items are nearing completion and are likely to appear soon in one of our upcoming releases. This is an early heads-up, so you can make plans where necessary:
- Absence in Hours (Part Day)
- CSP Entitlement: FTE-Based Weeks Calculation
- Payrolling Benefits in Kind (PBIK)
Absence in Hours (Part Day)
As a reminder, this feature is in its final stages. What remains now is closing a gap around handling scenarios where CSP entitlement changes mid-absence, ensuring there's no fall down or miscalculation, followed by some internally planned User Acceptance Testing. We're very close to release now, and remain hopeful of still meeting our Q3 2026 target.
This work has been continuously referenced in previous iterations of our "What We're Working On" articles. We will continue to keep you updated as we move closer to that point.
CSP Entitlement: FTE-Based Weeks Calculation
As a reminder, we are developing an enhancement to how Company Sick Pay entitlement is configured and calculated, allowing the CSP allowance to be defined in weeks at the contract level, with the system converting this into days based on each employee's FTE.
We've made good progress:
- Contracts can now be configured to calculate CSP entitlement in weeks
- This also applies to Length of Service increments, where CSP allowance may increase with length of service
- Length of Service configuration has been updated to allow more years to be added, or reduced down to a minimum of 1 year
We're now working on converting the Weeks Entitlement into Days Allowed:
For Full Time and Part Time employees, this will use Full Time Equivalent (FTE).
- For example, an employee with 5 FTE Days and a Contract CSP Entitlement of 4 weeks would get 20 days CSP Allowed per year.
For Flexible employees, this will also use FTE as above (an Override FTE option is planned for Flexible Employee Employment Details, though not yet available). There will also be an option to instead use the employee's 52 Week Average Days Per Week.
- For example, an Average Days Per Week of 4 with a CSP Entitlement of 3 weeks would give 12 days CSP. Note that as the 52 week average changes, entitlement may fluctuate accordingly.
For Casual employees, we're looking at introducing a similar 52 week average approach.
We're also introducing:
- Negative CSP allowance, where entitlement can go below zero if CSP taken exceeds the calculated allowance (for example, 10 days allowed due to the 52 week average, but 12 days taken, would show as -2 days). This will be surfaced to users, though the employee will be treated as having no CSP days remaining.
- An Employee Level CSP Override, allowing a user to override the contract-calculated entitlement for an individual employee (for example, overriding a contract's 10 day entitlement to 15 days).
We do not yet have a confirmed release date, and we will continue to provide updates as things progress.
Payrolling Benefits in Kind (PBIK)
As a reminder, development is underway on two pieces of work within the Payrolling Benefits in Kind module.
The Company Car and Car Fuel Salary Sacrifice benefit, allowing the system to automatically use whichever is higher of the Salary Sacrifice (Amount Foregone) or the calculated BIK amount depending on whether the vehicle is over or under 75g/km in emissions, is now nearing completion. All that remains is the piece around automatically populating payroll with the corresponding salary sacrifice deduction, as a negative payment, each pay period that the benefit is active.
Separately, work is also progressing on BIK Module roll-forward, which will operate automatically as part of the Payroll Module roll-forward. This will carry benefits across into the new tax year where no stop date is present, removing the administrative burden of starting calculations and notional pay afresh each year, along with the necessary end of year provisions for P11D(b) and RTI submissions. This also includes preparation for the 2027 tax year, though this remains dependent on updated legislation and RTI schema from HMRC, expected in Autumn 2026.
This was first raised in our What We're Working On | WFM UK | 23 Jul 2026 article. We do not yet have a confirmed release date for either piece of work. We will continue to provide updates as things progress.
