Improvements to Feed, Messages & Feed Comments
We have made several improvements to the Feed, Messages & Comments areas of Engage in this release to provide locational information about users, making interactions between them more meaningful.
When navigating to these areas of Engage, users will now be able to see the main location of their colleagues displayed underneath the relevant heading in the following areas:
- Feed – Posts made on the Feed
- Group Feed – Posts made on Group Feeds
- Messages – Direct Messages to invidual users and replies
- Comments – Comments made on posts on the Feed as well as Group Feeds
Having visibility of the main location a user is based provides more context, encouraging better interactions on Engage.

Please note: As a result of this new change, some customers may find that users’ main locations do not appear correctly as seen in the images in this release note. Customers are advised to update their location information to ensure that users’ main locations are reflected accurately within the user interface.
If you are unsure of how to update location data, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
Linking Usernames and Email Addresses
When an employee’s email address is changed in any Fourth application their username is also updated to match that email address.
If the username is already in use, the current logic is applied to create a unique username - 5-digit number is added to it.
Subsequently, an email will be sent to the user (to the new email address) to notify that both the email address and username have been changed.
