What’s Changing?
When entering a start date against a Statutory Maternity/Adoption Pay (SMP or SAP) record for salaried employees, the employee’s salaried payment type will end.

Reason for the Change
To ensure salaried employees that go onto SMP or SAP do not get overpaid. Removes the need for manual adjustment.

The payment type for any salaried employees who go on maternity or adoption leave will be updated.
For this to happen correctly the employee should have:
Once the SMP or SAP record is entered, the Salary payment type will be updated with an end date that is the SMP/SAP start date minus 1 day, as per Fig.1.

- A payment type that contains ‘salary’ in the description and is a calculated payment type
- The payment type should not have end date
Once the SMP or SAP record is entered, the Salary payment type will be updated with an end date that is the SMP/SAP start date minus 1 day, as per Fig.1.
