The Change
Fourth is enhancing the way that the Access Level Hierarchy processes changes for customers using Labour Productivity and/or Single Sign On (SSO) functionality.
Essentially the end user will be able to update Access Level Hierarchy within the HR module and continue to work elsewhere in the system, or choose to log out completely, whilst the system processes the changes in the background.
Release Date: 7th December
Reason for the Change
The way that the People System currently processes changes to the Access Level Hierarchy means that customers who use Labour Productivity and/or SSO functionality can experience a degraded performance whilst these changes are being implemented.
Enhancements made in this change will help to improve the system performance.
Customers Affected
People System Customers who use Fourth’s Labour Productivity and/or SSO functionality.
Release Notes
If changes are made to the Access Level Hierarchy, the user will be presented with a message when using the Save button.
The message will state ‘Changes to the Access Level Hierarchy are currently being processed’.

The user will then be able to continue working elsewhere in the system or choose to log out completely, whilst the system continues to process the changes in the background.
Once the changes have been processed the message will disappear and the new hierarchy changes will have taken effect.
The Save button will also be non-operational whilst the system is processing the changes. This will prevent users from making additional changes during this time.
