The Change

A global setting has been introduced to prevent stock period approval where there are lines that are considered in use with empty count values.

Reason for the Change

This functionality has been introduced to allow customers who wish to apply additional controls around the stock count and period approval process.
 

Customers Affected

This change is controlled by a setting and can be applied on a site by site basis at the global setting level, the setting will be off by default.
 

Release Notes

This functionality is controlled by the “Prevent stock period approval if the stock count has empty values” setting.

When the setting is enabled, on period close the missing closing stock count warning will continue to display:
   

The user will be able to close the stock period as usual. 

On approval, if there are missing values, a warning indicating that the stock period cannot be approved as there are missing stock count values will be displayed and the approve button will not be available:
