The Change
A new ethnic group category is being added to the drop down list: “Gypsy or Irish Traveller”.
A new language, Welsh, is being added to the available employee spoken language list.

Reason for the Change
We are starting the process to bring People System ethnic groups (under sensitive information, if enabled) into alignment with the UK Office of National Statistics groupings.

The first step in the process is the addition of “Gypsy or Irish Traveller” to the ethnic group drop down.
In addition we will be adding Welsh as a language option to the choice of first language drop down list.
Customers Affected
This is available to People System customers who have the sensitive information section enabled for their employees and are capturing “Ethnic Origin”.
Welsh language is available to People System customers who have the sensitive information section enabled for their employees and have enabled “Show the choice of first language”.
