The Change

A 90 day retention policy will be implemented for the FTP service for People System and FnB Manager. This will mean any data older than 90 days will be deleted.

Reason for the Change

The data being stored on the file server which hosts all FTP data has become cluttered and it is affecting FTP users’ experience/performance and increasing costs for hosting it. FTP file servers should only ever contain transitionary data by the nature of FTP.

All customers who use ftp.fourth.com and ftp.fnbshop.com 
 

Release Notes

A simple powershell purge script will be put in place on our FTP servers to delete all files which are older than 90 days under each customer’s FTP folder, including subfolders. 

This will run once a week initially (windows scheduler), and possibly increased in frequency after further analysis.
