What's Changing?
Holidays Remaining to be taken, whether in Hour or Days, is now inclusive of Carried Over Holiday values.
Reason for the Change
So that employees with carried-over holiday time (but not enough accrued) are not prevented from creating holiday requests.
Customers Affected
All customers using the HR module.
Release Note Info/Steps
Please note: These screenshots show an employee's holiday displayed in hours. The functionality is the same for those whose holiday is displayed in days.
Before this release, if a job title had the Prevent requests for holidays that have not yet been accrued? setting enabled, then upon requesting holiday, if an employee had not accrued enough time for the request then it would not be authorised, regardless of how much carried-over holiday they had.

Please note: If the above setting is not being used, then the holiday requests could still be authorised so there was no impact, but will be able to see the change with the Carried Over value being included in the remaining balance.
In the example below (Fig.2) an employee's 'Accrued' value is 0 and their 'Carried Over' value is 5. So, their 'Hours Remaining' value is also 5.

Please Note: Updates to the booking of holiday via Engage and Employee Self-Service are yet to be made. These changes currently only relate to the holiday functionality in the UK HR & Payroll portal.
