What's Changing?
It is now possible to create site requisitions from within the Ordering app. This means that users can now create and checkout baskets for all needed items, whether supplied by an external supplier or from an internal main store/production kitchen.
Reason for the Change
To remove the need of having to switch between the Ordering app and the core Inventory application.
Customers Affected
Inventory customers using requisitions and also the Ordering app.
Release Note Info/Steps
First, a global setting needs to be enabled.
- Please submit a request to Fourth's support team to have this done. The global setting is called 'Allow requisitions in ordering app'
When the global setting is enabled, any sites designated as a 'main store' for your own site will appear on the 'Suppliers' tab in the Ordering app. These internal main stores are prefixed with an * so will appear at the top of the supplier list.
A location may have access to more than one main store.

When selecting a main store, items that can be requisitioned from it are displayed. Eligible items will either be products or batch recipes listed in the main store and are allocated to a category allowed for the main store (as configured in the Manage Main Store > Categories screen)
Items can be selected, added to and checked out from the basket, in the same way as when ordering from a supplier.

Once checked out, the basket will be converted to a Requisition in Inventory, which will be automatically sent to the main store. The Requisition can then be processed as normal once the main store has issued the items.
Note: Access to create a Requisition from a main store in the Ordering app is controlled by a user's access to create supplier orders. i.e. if a user can create a supplier order in the Ordering app then they will be able to create a main store Requisition in the Ordering app as well.
