How would an employee find out if a change has been made to an approved rota on ESS?

Marion Bauckham has asked the below question,

'We use ESS App and that is where team members can view their rotas.

Once the rota has been moved to Approved, employees can see their rotas for the next week.

If that rota is then subsequently amended and an employee’s hours change for the next week, the rota in the ESS App is not updated so the employee is not aware that their hours have changed?

How would an employee find out?'
