    Hi,

Hope you are well. Is there a way to disable this and see full names in Scheduling? Many thanks.

  • Hi Paulius Azguridis,

We are liaising with our Product team on this and will get back to you as soon as possible.

Currently, if an employee's preferred name is removed from their details in HR, then Scheduling will display their first and last name.

    Thank you,

    Fourth Communities Team

  • Hi Paulius Azguridis

We have just posted an updated version of this release note, which details the changes that have just been deployed.

Employee names have now reverted back to 'First Name' 'Last Name', with the option of displaying preferred names if you would like to.

Thank you for your feedback, and we hope that this new change works well for you.

    Best wishes,
    Fourth Communities Team

Is there a possibility of having this enabled so that scheduling shows 'Preferred Name' and 'Surname'? I can easily see a situation in a large restaurant where you have - say - a Justina, a Christina and a Martina, who all like to be known as Tina. Maybe two of them even share a job role, eg waiter, and the manager could quite easily schedule the wrong Tina on by mistake.

  • Hi Tina Plewes

We have just discussed this with our product team and think it unlikely that this change would be implemented. However, the Preferred Name field in HR can hold 56 characters so for your 'multi-Tina' scenario we would advise that each of their preferred names in HR be updated to include surnames, initials, or anything else to help identify them.

Thank you for pointing this out - hopefully this suggestion will suffice.

    Best wishes,
    Fourth Communities Team
