Sickness absence costs

Hi Sarah,

There isn't currently one report in Fourth that shows the weekly cost of sickness absence. You can get this information from a few existing reports, though.

Sickness costs (SSP / CSP)

These payroll reports can be run for each pay run. If you're on a weekly payroll, that gives you a weekly view:

• Absences SSP Report: Statutory Sick Pay details for the pay run
• Absences CSP Report: Company Sick Pay details
• Payroll Absence Report: employee absences and whether each one qualifies for SSP

Sickness hours or days taken

• HR > Reports > Absence Analysis: lists absences for a date range, including the employee, absence reason and dates. Leave the "absence to" date blank so you don't miss absences that started before the week or run past the end of it.
• HR > Reports > View Reports > Customised Reports > Employees' Absences: you can filter this by location and by your sickness absence reasons. Include former employees as well so your totals are complete.

Whether these reports show sickness in hours or days depends on how your absence types are set up. They can only show hours if the absence types are set up as Absence in Hours.
