Facial Recognition Device Restriction by Department

The customer has requested the ability to restrict facial recognition clocking devices by department, so employees can only clock in and out using the designated device assigned to their department.

Business justification:

  • Ensure employees clock in at their designated work location and in uniform.
  • Prevent employees from clocking in at other locations (e.g., near the canteen) before starting work.
  • Improve attendance monitoring and reduce unauthorized overtime.
  • Maximize the operational value of the additional facial recognition devices purchased.

Alternative request:

If department-specific device restrictions are not currently supported, the customer has requested a report that identifies which facial recognition device each employee used to clock in and out.
