Where the global setting has been enabled to prevent employees from taking holiday over accrual, is there then any option or way that holiday can be approved centrally to allow holiday be taken in advance on a case by case basis?
Given there is no feature to limit how much holiday is taken over accrual - this would be helpful rather than all or nothing
I agree. Alternatively, it would be helpful if the system could recognise whether the holiday requested would have been accrued by the date the leave is actually taken, rather than assessing accrual only at the point of approval. This would provide more flexibility whilst still preventing excessive holiday being taken in advance and would avoid the current "all or nothing" approach.

We have further checked this and can confirm that there is currently no functionality available for this specific requirement.
The only available setting is "Prevent requests for holidays that have not yet been accrued?". However, there is no option to restrict requests based on the date on which the holiday entitlement has already been accrued.
We would recommend reaching out to Solutions Consultant to determine whether this functionality can be done, added in the future or submitted as an enhancement (idea) request.
