Is it possible to default all employees to be assigned a 1 rather than a 0 on the TRONC Module?May we know the difference? I see that some locations has 0 Tronc rate while others have 1

Hello Emma,

Yes, it is possible to default employees to a specific rate. You can use the Apply Rate to All field in the Employee Rate screen to assign the same rate to all employees returned in a search. 

Difference between 0 and 1

  • Tronc Rate 1: The employee is included in the distribution. Their share is calculated by multiplying this rate by their worked hours.
  • Tronc Rate 0: The employee is effectively excluded from the distribution, as any calculation (Rate x Hours) will result in a zero payment. 

How to update rates

  • Tronc Module: Navigate to Tronc > Employees > Employee Rate. Enter the rate in the Apply Rate to All field and click Apply.
  • Tronc2 Module: Go to Tronc2 > Administration > Fund Administration > Assign Divisions > Employees to manage rates. 

Rates can also be managed at the Job Title level or automatically fed through from an employee's HR records if configured.
