Hello,

Can I use a food adhoc item in a recipe if the pack UOM is updated (so it can be used in a recipe for cost calculation) instead of the need to do the "Upgrade to Product"?

Good day Alfredo!

Yes, as long as the UOM is updated on the product you can indeed use it within a recipe however Best Practice is to upgrade the product so that you can assign segment/category/sub category.  Once "upgraded" you can then assign the product to inventory guides as well so that the item can then be depleted with sales transactions from the preparing outlet.
