recording sales / consumption for inactive product in recipe

How do you record consumption or create a recipe when a product is in active.

 

I understand that a product is set inactive to prevent it from being purchased.  Quite often there is residual stock which may be used in a recipe.  As we cannot add an inactive product to a recipe how do you deal with this?

 

would appreciate your thoughts

Hello Elaine,

Thanks for your question, I hope you are well!

Inactive products in Adaco are depleted by recipe sales as normal, so you should be able to temporarily re-activate the product, add it to your recipe, and then inactivate it again. Recipe sales will then deplete that product, even if it is inactive.
