This may seem like a strange question but which date should I use when running this report ? Monday the start of the rota week or Sunday the ens of the week ? If i use the update button will it update the rate on the effective date (and not the date i press the update button)

Not a strange question at all!

The pay rate will change for the employees on the effective date, not the date that you press 'Update' but please be aware that any rotas that have already been submitted to payroll will not be effected (if you are back dating the change to weeks that have already been submitted, you may need to process additional payments).

You can run the preview anytime you want to without updating the rates.

Thanks, I did a test and they all showed the effective date as today which was wrong, so I have changed her back
