Managing employee start dates for Flow integration
Looking for clarity on correct process for managing Continuous Service Start Date and Payroll Start Date entries in Employee Details so that data flows correctly into FLOW integration.
Understand Continuous Service Start Date should be date employee first joined the business and Payroll Start Date should reflect when employee returns to business in the event there was a break in employment.
Does Payroll Start Date also need to be changed every time employment status changes, e.g. promotion or transfer to another location within the group?
Have read https://help.hotschedules.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042284552-WFM-Flow-Integration-Configuration but can't see this addressed specifically?
Thank you!

Hi Tim Duboisson,
Thank you for your question,
The payroll start date will remain the start date for that employee within that employment. Any job title or location changes will have an effective start date but that will not amend the original starting date. You will see these changes in the Career History and the Employment History.
I hope that helps
Thanks,
Saskia

Hi,
I'm having the same issues here. I have gone through all the resources available and I still don't understand how to avoid confusing FLOW system. We have a large number of employees who were rehired and due to set up of our business they would change their employing company/payroll but keep their continuous service. I don't understand how this issue can be fixed.
I suggest that Fourth uses the continuous service start date as a date for statutory purposes. At the moment this is being calculated from Payroll start date. This means I can't change the payroll start date for an employee whose continuous service is longer as this will affect their accruals for holidays, sick pay etc.
Thanks.
