Hi I could do with some guidance on how to use the National Minimum Wage Report

I notice it does not have a date parameter   I am looking for report that will highlight each week if any of our lower paid salary staff are in danger of falling below NMW due to working over their contracted hours   It would be good to be able to check this before we pay them the allow us to make additional payments if necessary.

Hi {@005D000000AK8tjIAD}​ , There are two exports in Payroll for NMW.

The NMW/NLW for tax year 2018 only looks at the current payrun. This is not suitable for businesses who payrun is 1st-31st of the month and pay on 31st as employees are being paid in advance.

If this is the case, The NMW/NLW past periods export can be run and the employee would need to be paid any additional earnings in the next month.

 

There a few reports that can check rota hours to contracted hours but in some cases will only look at full rota weeks which may not work if you have a payrun as above.

Payroll hours v1 in Rota exports will compare hours worked v contracted hours for full rota weeks.

If you wish to look for a monthly period you will need to run the employee hours worked export in rotas and a Custom report showing employee number and contracted hours and the 2 reports can be combined with a v lookup.

These reports should only be used as an indication of NMW compliance as they will not consider anything that has gone through payroll.
