Is it possible to rename a supplier in Star Chef?

Good question – All supplier creation, editing and archiving is done by Fourth.

To rename an existing supplier in StarChef, you would need to escalate this to your business’s contacts who are responsible for liaising with Fourth Technical Support.

Thanks again for using the Fourth Customer Community for this query.

I would like to elaborate on my answer yesterday - due to you being a stand-alone StarChef customer, users with access to Admin user groups have the permissions to edit a supplier's name via the 'Admin' tab on the system by selecting 'Suppliers' from the drop down box.

We do however urge caution when using this functionality. This can be used if there has been a name change of a supplier where no changes are made to the products e.g. nutritional data, pack size etc. However if the aim is to replace a current supplier with a new supplier who supplies the same or similar products, we strongly advise to create the new supplier from scratch.
