Is it possible to add a half day absence. I.e. if somebody goes home at 3pm sick, I only want to give them half a day SSP, how do I do this?

Hi @Thomas Gold​  Employees are only entitled to Statutory Sick pay after 3 'waiting days'.

If an employee is sent home part way through the day, in terms of the SSP rules, this is the first day sick and is counted as the first waiting day.

If the employee needs to be paid for the time they have worked, this will need to be put as an additional payment through payroll as hours cannot be entered on a day that a absence has been entered due to the above.
