Can we edit absences on Fourth? For example if an absence is entered and then later we receive a certificate can they add documents seen and ensure the sickness gets paid?

Hi @kateCastellani Best practice is to Create the first absence (max 7day) as sickness self certified.

If an employee continues to be off sick and requires a doctors cert a new absence should be created and the doctors cert box ticked.

Documents seen should be ticked for all absences (even self certified) to ensure SSP is paid correctly.

The absences will link together and waiting days will not be deducted again.

If absences are not linking, there is a global setting in payroll that will address this.

With permission it is possible to edit and absence but we recommend this is restricted to payroll to ensure employee is paid correctly.
