Rota Forecasting

We intend to forecast the final two days of the next four weekly rota period in order that the rotas can be submitted early due to reduced processing times over the bank holiday period. However, I do not believe that this is something we have done previously and when I was within the rota settings recently regarding the other setting, I noticed one we have disabled which states "Allow completion of rota days which are in the future". I assume this will cause us issues when attempting to close the forecasting rotas but wonder if you could confirm my interpretation of this and also advise as to whether there would be any other setting which could cause us issues with forecasting the way we currently have it set? We already have extremely limited time over this period and I need to make sure that areas such as this are not going to cause issues.

You are correct, under Rotas->Administration->Global Settings->​Allow completion of Rota days which are in the future?

 

We would recommend setting this to Yes for the week of the Bank holiday period, then turning it off again afterwards to prevent any future issues with Managers doing this continually.

Thank you for the question.

 

The setting "Allow completion of rota days which are in the future", would allow a user to complete Rota days in the future in order to Submit Rotas to Payroll at an earlier date. This is typical used Christmas by users.

 

I would advise that the setting "Allow completion of rota days which are in the future" is turned off once the bank holiday period is over.

 

Please note any changes on the forecast 2 days will need to be amended in payroll as the Rotas will be submitted to Payroll.
