Breaking a run of sick pay to pay holidays

Hi   Can you advise on the best way of recording a sickness when its broken to use holidays.   should we bring forward the end date of the absence and the sick line, add the holidays, then add a new sick line after the holidays have been used?   Would that work, would the sickness period links ?

Hi Sharon Harkins?. If you wish to break an absence period with a holiday, you should end the absence period. Change the end date of an existing absence in line with when you want to enter the holidays. Enter the holiday and then create a new absence making sure that the Days usually worked match the original absence. The absences will link. In the example below, the red line is where the break for holidays was. Best, Stevey
