Can you please advise best practice - Should we P45 on last day worked or the next day ... does it have any implications if we P45 on the last day worked?

Hi Sharon,
Thanks for raising this. It's best practice to terminate an employee using the date of their final working day. This can be done in the future or backdated as long as the pay period is open. If you enter the termination on the employee's actual last day they can still be scheduled and their salary or hours worked will feed through to payroll.
