Absent deductions on Payroll

Hello @Kasia Dara ,

This in a great question!

It is correct that the employee was deducted as they then would have had the day replaced with SSP, however the documents seen box wasn't ticked.

Its very important for all absences to be marked as "Documents Seen" as this is the trigger to payroll to replace the deducted absence with a payment (If applicable).

Please ensure the documents ticked box is being ticked as part of the absence process.

Hi @Kasia Dara

As you have said the Absent type is Absence - Paid, please can you check your absence type does not have 'Negative' ticked as this is what drives the deduction.

You can do this in HR > Administration > Absence types or

Payroll > Administration > Absence types

If the correct absence type has been selected and If the negative box is not ticked, this should be raised with support as it is not correct.

To correct you will need to make a manual adjustment to payroll in the next period.

Hope this helps

Debbie
