That's a very good and often asked question.

We recommend the Property Administrator manage this for the whole portal using the following path:

Property->Administration->Property Preferences->Security->Override User Log Off Time->Then set it to what you wish. ​

However this can also be managed for individual Users (assuming the above Override isn't turned on):

Edit->Preferences->Security->Log Off Time.
