How to rehire an already rehired employee

I am trying to rehire an employee we have already rehired once. They message that pops up just states 'This employee has already been rehired'. How do I get around this? Thanks

If the message appears the employee is active on the system. They may not have been terminated if they left and have come back again.

If they were terminated ensure you search the former employees and select the correct record. If they have a 1 next to their name, they have been rehired already and are active on the system.

Former employees without the 1 can be rehired.
