Which is the best report to determine working days absent within a calendar month? Absence Analysis in the HR module only give number of days but this includes rest days.

Hi @Oliver Stockdale,

The Absence Analysis Report will show the number of working days from column 's' of the csv file, and can be run for a calendar month. So as long as the user who is creating the absence is creating it with the correct information, this should have what is required.

Just make sure that when running the Report you switch the Report Output Format from 'Normal on Screen' to Text File (csv*) as you will not see all of the information on the screen option.

Many Thanks,

Cris

Hi Cris, unfortunately the data on the report is not accurate. I selected the date range from 1st June to 30th June and the report includes absences started in May but ended in June therefore an employee shows a total of 44 days absent but was actually absent for 21 working days?

Hi @Oliver Stockdale Can you give me a brief overview of why this is important and what the information would be used for. This may help us find something suitable for you.

We also have Bradford Factor functionality if you are trying to measure the impact of Absence.

Many thanks

Hi Debbie,

We don't use the Bradford Factor to manage absence we use trigger points i.e. periods of absence within a time scale.

I want to determine monthly absence percentage per property based on days absent i.e. X days absent/ X days worked *100 = X% absent rate.

Hi @Oliver Stockdale

I have put together a document that may help you use the absence analysis to calculate an indicative number or working days lost for a given period of time.

When absences are entered as a 'Period' there is no information to say which days the employee should have worked due to the flexible nature of hospitality.

However I think the calculations I have used will provide a good estimate.

Please have a look and let me know what you think. I will email it separately.

If it works we can publish it on the community.

Kind regards

Debbie
