The Calculated CSP and SSP figures are causing staff confusion on the absence detail page. Is there a way of turning these off? Thanks

Hi @Rachel Sutton

I believe these can be turned off in HR global settings.

HR > Administration > Global settings > Display employee absence data on absence editing screen

However, if this is hidden, the average days worked will not display making it difficult for users to tick the correct number of boxes.

Employees cannot see their own absences so users should be informed not to give out this information to employees and to only look at the average days on this page.

Would be interesting to understand why the figures are confusing?

Hope this helps

Hi @Rachel Sutton

It doesn't appear that these can be hidden as they display the employees weekly rate of pay to assist with selecting the correct absence type for SSP.

An employee is only entitled to SSP if their weekly rate is above £116.

If the figures shown are not above this and an SSP absence reason is selected the employee will not receive SSP (if calculated by the system).

If SSP is calculated manually (Absence V1) , these figures can be checked to ensure employees meet the threshold and not just rely on the absence type.

Absence V2 is the recommended version as the system will perform the calculations.

All Bureau customers are on V2 and any In-house customers that require the new functionality will need a small project.

Hope this helps
