Is it possible to change the length of the financial year to 53 weeks instead of 52?

Yes, this is possible.

 

Please raise a technical case with the calendar so they are able to add this date.

Also check if you have Fourth Analytics as this may need to be discussed with the FA team to check there is no impact.
