Hi {@005D0000009gaQpIAI} {@005D0000008vbdHIAQ} ,

Good afternoon ladies!

A location can be configured to deduct a beak of a specified length after an employee has been scheduled for a certain period of Time. This will be an unpaid break.

E.g

An employee works an 8 hour shift and has a 30 min unpaid break.

With this setting enabled the user and schedule a shift from 0900 – 1700 and 30mins will automatically be deducted from their hours.

To do so follow the below path:

Rota > Administration > Configure Locations > Edit default Rota settings

When use breaks I rota is selected, further options will appear to enter:

·       The number of hours that need to be worked for a break to be deducted.

·       The length of the unpaid break

The maximum break allowance should be entered to determine the maximum break time.

Allow modification of breaks will allow a user to override the calculated break.

T&A allows you to record the employees clock in and out times for the breaks, these will not auto feed into the actual time unless your rota settings allow it. This would need to be organised with a Fourth specialist to action.

Alternatively, if copy T&A is enabled, this will copy the T&A date into actual times (on the day content screen), this in turn will remove any automatic breaks which may have been set up from the break functionality. These is a setting to keep the auto break in place should you wish it, in the Rota Global Settings.

The Forecast Vs Actual Vs Paid Hours - Daily Export will provide the foretasted, actual and T&A data for comparison and can be found in the Rota Exports.

I have also provided a link to a previous discussion thread on T&A breaks which may be an additional resource for you.
