Problems with changing an employee from salary to hourly.

I am having a problem with changing an employee from salary pay to hourly pay. When I try to make this change I am getting a message say that I cannot make this change as only one salary change is permitted per pay period. The employee has not had another pay change in this pay period and the change has to be made for the 3rd of September. Is there anyway to fix this.
