We have full-time staff and part-time staff that have the same job title and role. However when I enter a new starter as part-time it automatically reverts to full-time and I am unable to amend it. In addition how should the holiday entitlement be entered? Could anyone advise please?

Thank you for your question. An employee who is part time within your business would need to be highlighted using the 'FTE' functionality within their Employment Details page.
As this is a functionality that needs to be actioned by Fourth please contact the Customer Success Team. The request should cover turning on 'FTE' fucntionality.
Once this is turned on please view the article 'How to Overridie FTE Settings at Employee Level'.

Please note no changes need to happen to the main 'Job titles' as these should reflect the Full Time equivalent.
