How do I change the average cost? Some outlets are at $4.09, some at $7.09 for the same item. Need all to be the same cost.

Thanks for a great question.

As you have already found, there is a link to reset average cost prices for products. This allows you to dictate an average inventory valuation by outlet or, if you wish, against all outlets.

This functionality depends on an on-hand inventory being available to re-cost. If the outlet has no on-hand inventory, even though the system displays the last average valuation, there is no available stock to re-cost so no option is available. The next time you receive into that outlet you will begin accumulating oh-hand inventory at a brand new average calculation.
