Is there a way that people can clock in without using their fingerprint? Can they use their employee number? What do they press to do that? Thank you

In the case of an employee already having been registered with a fingerprint, you will need to remove the fingerprint record first by de-registering the employee.

Once done, you can proceed with the bypass as described earlier. The bypass uses the employee#, as this ensures that the T&A data pushes to the appropriate employee record in People System.

It's a case here of one method or the other, with the preferred being biometric whenever possible.

So the method you described earlier would be to enrol someone with a code. How then would they clock in and out every day?

Do they use their staff number, what do they need to press?

The employee number is the PIN code.

Clock-In = Press In, enter employee number, press enter

Clock-Out = Press Out, enter employee number, press enter.

Please note that the fingerprint bypass should only be used in special circumstances. It would be worth attempting to register prints from other fingers before proceeding with the fingerprints bypass.

That being said, if you need to set up a bypass and PIN instead, here are the steps:

HOW TO ENROL AN EMPLOYEE – FINGERPRINT BYPASS / PIN

1. Press ENROL key to enter Enrollment Mode.

2. The display will ask for the MASTER (MST) CODE. Once entered, press return.

3. Press 1 to Authorize a fingerprint bypass.

4. Enter WORKER# (Employee Number). Then press return.

5. The unit will exit Enrollment Mode after 60 seconds of inactivity. Or press ESC. to exit.

If you do not have the master code, please contact your head office/central teams who will have this noted.
