Could you provide some additional clarification? Is this an additional role that employees will be doing on top of their other job role, or is this a task that needs to be done as part of their shift?

If they are working their normal hours (for which they would need to be paid?) you could create a message which would display on the schedule/app/printable schedule called 'cleaner.'

Alternatively a new multiple employment could be created, but it would need to match the correct cost (if they are being paid their usual rate for the shift or if it attracts a separate rate of pay).for each employee who would pick up this cleaning shift.

 

If it generates a cost but does not get allocated you could set up an agency job title called 'cleaner' but it sounds like an employee is expected to pick up this work so this solution would be unsuitable, if so.

Hi,

This will be an additional role; the employee may be doing it in addition to their other job roles or it may be that the employee is only going to be employed as a cleaner. We do not want the cleaning costs to be included on the rota (although of course the employee will need to be paid for their cleaning duties) - because our labour costs need to be comparable to previous periods.

If the employees are salaried, the cleaner job title (multiple employment) can be excluded from the rota wage cost in the configure location settings > include Salary job titles). The job title would need to be unticked.

 

However Hourly paid employees will ALWAYS be included in the rota wage cost and there is no way to exclude them as they need to be on the rota to be paid.

One solution may be to counter the cost of the cleaning.

We can set up an non calculated metric that can deduct from the rota wage cost.

This would need to be manually entered for each site as a minus figure.
