Is it possible for Fourth to automatically generate the next employee number (based on the previous number that was used)? We have multiple sites in different locations so need to find a way that employee numbers can be automatically generated.

Hi @Michael Rabone​ 

This can be controlled in the HR Global settings.

 

HR> Administration > Global settings > Edit default employee numbers

Change the setting to 'Start with a set number' and enter the next employee number to used.

You can prefix employees numbers with a location code if the helps.

 

I would also recommend the setting below is enabled to prevent editing of employee numbers.

Hi there,

 

I'm having the same problem. However I was told to tick the box stating 'prevent employee number from being saved' however I cannot see that on my my global settings.

The Global setting is called 'Prevent employees from being Edited'. Can you see this?
