How to change hierarchy but have same access to oversee all the employees?

Hi,   I am an FC here, reporting to the GM and we both have the same access (pension) level on Fourth. We both should be able to authorize payroll runs. I would like to set up an e-mail notification if I do a holiday request from my employee account, then the GM will receive an e-mail, however I've been told the only option we have if the GM gets a higher access, but then not sure if I still be able to oversee or modify his account. Please let me know what's the right way to do also if you could tell me how can I add or adjust the hierarchy...?   Also my assistant able to submit holiday request for herself which is being approved right away. How can I turn this function off?

One option you have is to create a super user login each, which is used only for the purpose of authorizing pay runs. You would then both have your personal logins which would be set at the correct hierarchy level. This way your holiday request notifications could be sent and received whilst you would use the super user login for pay runs.

 

If this option does not work for you, I would advise booking on to one of our Ask Fourth sessions, where an expert can talk through other possibilities with you that might be more suitable.

 

In response to your assistant's holidays - It is possible she created the holiday using a login with HR administrator access, in which case she would be able to access her own personal profile and authorize the holiday. I would advise going to the holiday date, select the holiday day and at the top right of the page you can view the "History". This will show who authorized the holiday or what login was used at the time of creation.
